Sub-processors
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. What a sub-processor is
A sub-processor is a third-party service provider that Ecordio uses to run the service and that may process personal data on our behalf, such as data from a merchant's connected store.
2. How we engage sub-processors
We use as few providers as possible and only for the functions below. Each one is chosen for its security practices, processes personal data only on our instructions, and is bound by data protection terms no less protective than our Data Processing Agreement. Ecordio remains responsible for their work.
App data, including all connected store data, is hosted in Singapore.
3. Categories of sub-processors
Ecordio app
| Category | Function performed | Personal data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud hosting & infrastructure | Runs the Ecordio app, database and encrypted backups | All app data, including merchant accounts and connected store data (customer names and emails, orders) |
| Email delivery | Sends account emails such as invitations and password resets | Merchant users' names and email addresses, and email content |
This website
These providers serve the ecordio.com marketing site only. They do not receive merchants' store data.
| Category | Function performed | Personal data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Website hosting | Serves this marketing website | Website visitors' IP addresses and request details |
| Website analytics (only with your consent) | Measures how visitors use this website (Google Analytics) | Website visitors' IP addresses, device and browser information, pages visited |
4. Getting the full list
A current list of named sub-processors, with the function and processing region of each, is available to merchants using Ecordio and to businesses evaluating it, under a confidentiality agreement where appropriate. Request it by emailing support@ecordio.com from the email address on your account.
5. Changes
We notify merchants by email at least 14 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor that will process their customers' personal data, so they can raise questions or object before the change takes effect, as described in our Data Processing Agreement.
6. Commerce platforms
Shopify and WooCommerce are not our sub-processors: they are the merchant's own platforms, from which the merchant authorises Ecordio to read data.
